QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS
WHAT IS IT?
Quartz countertops are an engineered stone, comprised of 93% mined quartz and 7% polymers and pigments (to bind and color). Quartz is an all natural hard mineral that is a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Diamond is a 10. Quartz is the second most abundant material in Earth’s crust.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?
Quartz countertops are non-porous. That one word alone speaks volumes. This means ZERO maintenance with not threat of staining. With traditional stones such as granite, regular sealing is required. Hot pots and pans can be placed directly on the quartz. Due to the hardness of quartz, it is exceptionally scratch resistant.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Quartz countertops run in about the same price range as granite does. But unlike granite quartz comes with a 15-25 year warranty depending on the brand. For a true estimate stop by the showroom with some dimensions of your existing countertops. Find out more about getting a quote HERE.
